🚀 Billionaire Lessons for Solopreneurs

Even Multi-million dollar companies start small

Let us look at how Amy’s Kitchen, the seller of frozen vegetarian foods, started.

Amy’s Kitchen founders Andy Berliner and Rachel Berliner, came to know about a health-food show in San Francisco.

They wanted to sell their first product there.

They found out that pot pies were the most popular frozen meal.

So they got a recipe from Rachel’s mother, who was an amazing cook.

Rachel and Andy spent hours in the kitchen perfecting the recipe.

And once it was perfected, they made 100 pot pies in their kitchen and took them to the health food show.

The first day of the show, a few natural-food stores signed them up and wanted their pot pies.

This is how they got their first customers..

..with just selling 100 pot pies.

They slowly grew and today they are a multi-million dollar company.

⛷ A $50K/Month Job Search Advice Website

Biron Clark was in his mid 20’s and working as a professional recruiter.

Friends kept asking him the same questions about their job search and career.

So he thought: why not start a blog and answer these questions publicly?

With this project, he could share unique stories, including what hiring managers talk about “behind the scenes.”

He started CareerSidekick.com

He focused on publishing content and growing a following instead of monetizing in the first year.

He continued to work on it on the side, while keeping his day job.

He got very little traffic for his articles.

He covered many topics from job searching to career planning to salary.

It didn’t go well.

So he decided to niche down and focus on just job searching.

He gained some traction in Google search, social media, and more.

He launched a short job interview guide called The Job Interview Cheat Sheet. He priced it at $7, a very cheap price.

Introduced more digital products and affiliate marketing.

He focused on marketing the site on LinkedIn.

It was a good choice and he grew to more than 200,000+ followers.

He also answered questions on Quora.

He says it was another good way to drive traffic to his site consistently.

He says “Go where your audience spends time online.”

After some time, he decided to make all his eBooks and courses free.

He focused on display advertising and affiliate marketing.

He says “Most businesses take time to grow so it’s important to be consistent and enjoy the steps along the way.”

He now makes more than $500k per year.💰
