Black entertainment television founder Bob Johnson was a son of farmer and one of nine children.

He never intended to start a business, but while at working at several jobs, he saw an opportunity to open a cable network for African Americans. He pursued it and had to endure many frustrating situations.

Finally he sold it to Viacom for  more than  $2+ billion.
